About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our Finance & Administration team. This position plays a key role in supporting accurate financial reporting, performing essential accounting functions, and delivering data-driven insights that improve affordability, accountability, and reliability across the Cooperative.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare accurate and detailed financial statements and reports.
- Perform accounting activities including work orders, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, depreciation, and tax filings.
- Assist with audits, budgets, forecasts, and compliance reporting.
- Develop insightful analysis using internal and external data to support strategic decisions.
- Recommend and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Utilize accounting systems and apply AI/automation tools to streamline processes.
- Create financial presentations and visualizations for management and Board meetings.
- Maintain records in accordance with GAAP and Cooperative standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field, or equivalent experience required.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel required).
- Experience with financial statements and Cooperative accounting standards preferred.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and accounting software (e.g., NISC iVUE) is a plus.
- Strong integrity, teamwork, and communication skills.
Work Environment
- Office-based position; no remote work option.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
