About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our Finance & Administration team. This position plays a key role in supporting accurate financial reporting, performing essential accounting functions, and delivering data-driven insights that improve affordability, accountability, and reliability across the Cooperative.

 What You’ll Do

  • Prepare accurate and detailed financial statements and reports.
  • Perform accounting activities including work orders, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, depreciation, and tax filings.
  • Assist with audits, budgets, forecasts, and compliance reporting.
  • Develop insightful analysis using internal and external data to support strategic decisions.
  • Recommend and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
  • Utilize accounting systems and apply AI/automation tools to streamline processes.
  • Create financial presentations and visualizations for management and Board meetings.
  • Maintain records in accordance with GAAP and Cooperative standards.

 What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel required).
  • Experience with financial statements and Cooperative accounting standards preferred.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and accounting software (e.g., NISC iVUE) is a plus.
  • Strong integrity, teamwork, and communication skills.

 Work Environment

  • Office-based position; no remote work option.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
