The Trip of a Lifetime!
Cimarron Electric Cooperative's Youth Tour Contest is open to students enrolled in the 11th grade in our service territory. The top three prizes are all-expense-paid trips to Washington, D.C. There will also be seven cash prizes.
The Washington, D.C. trip occurs in mid-June. The fun packed week includes a tour of Mount Vernon, a boat trip on the Potomac River, sightseeing all the major monuments and a visit with the Oklahoma Congressional Delegation.
Cimarron Electric selects the winners from students who take a written test over materials about rural electrification furnished by the Cooperative. Based on the test scores, the top seven students
compete in a final judging held at Cimarron Electric's headquarters in Kingfisher. A panel of judges awards the prizes based on the students' subject knowledge, originality, appearance and personality.
Representatives from Cimarron Electric visit with interested juniors at their schools during January and February.
