Cimarron Electric Cooperative hosted a banquet on March 22nd honoring its 2017 Youth Tour finalist and their families. From 87 entries, 10 finalist made it to banqet and the final leg of competition. Each finalist went through an interview process with a panel of judges. They were judged on their knowledge of rural electric cooperatives, speaking ability, poise, personality and appearance. After the interviews, they also competed in a game show type type contest where they answered some more questions about Cimarron and the cooperative programs.

After enjoying a meal together, everyone anxiously awaited the judges decisions. The winners were Madison Daugherty -Watonga, Laryn Schemmer -Kingfisher, Reagan Chamberlain -Cashion and Taylor Becker -Dover.

Often called the trip of a lifetime, the four high school juniors will explore the nation's capital on an expense paid trip. They will meet up with approximatly 70 other Oklahoma winners from other rural electric cooperatives. They will gather in June with approximatly 1700 other students from across the U.S. They will learn and tour historic sights and museums.Congratulations to our Cimarron Electric Youth Tour Winners!
